AstroSync ("we", "our", or "us") operates the AstroSync web app at web.astrosync.app, the marketing site at astrosync.app, and the AstroSync Android app on Google Play (collectively, the "Service").
This Privacy Policy explains what personal data we collect, why we collect it, how we use it, and the choices you have.
When you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address, and profile photo URL from Google. We store your name and email to identify your account. We do not receive or store your Google password.
To generate your natal chart, you provide your date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth (city and country, which we resolve to geographic coordinates). This data is stored on our servers and is the foundation for all personalised readings.
When you add a connection for compatibility analysis you may optionally provide that person's name, date of birth, time of birth, and place of birth, or simply their zodiac sign. We store this data linked to your account to generate and display compatibility readings.
Premium features on Android are purchased through Google Play Billing. We receive a purchase receipt and subscription status from Google but never see your payment card or billing address. Transaction processing is handled entirely by Google.
We use Google Analytics to collect anonymised information about how the Service is used — page views, session duration, device type, and country. This data does not identify you personally and is used only to improve the Service.
When you sign in, we issue a JWT authentication token stored locally on your device (localStorage on web, AsyncStorage on mobile). This token authenticates subsequent requests to our API and expires automatically. We do not store passwords.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising profiling.

Google Sign-In
Handles authentication. Google receives your OAuth consent and returns your basic profile. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Gemini AI
Generates your personalised readings. We send natal chart data and planetary transit data to the Gemini API; no directly identifying personal information (name or email) is sent. Governed by Google AI terms.
Google Play Billing
Processes in-app purchases on Android. All payment data is handled by Google; we only receive a confirmation token. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
Google Analytics
Collects anonymised usage statistics on our web properties. You can opt out via Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing us at haipq@vng.com.vn with the subject line "Delete my AstroSync account".
Include the email address linked to your Google account. We will permanently delete the following data within 30 days:
Anonymised analytics data (which cannot be linked back to you) and purchase records required by law may be retained beyond this period.
We retain your account and birth data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we permanently delete your personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.
Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked back to you.

AstroSync is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us and we will delete it promptly.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top. For significant changes, we will notify you via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
